The Basket Raffle will consist of approximately 25 ‘themed’ baskets that will be auctioned off with the winners announced at the event.  The baskets will be provided by various APG Organizations, local businesses, and individuals.

Each donor will be asked to put together items based from a pre-determined list of themes, wrapped in a transparent material, and decorated with the event’s theme.

This year’s theme is Once Upon a Fairy Tale and the coordinating colors are blue and white. Donors are asked to coordinate their themes with Earl Noble, the Basket Committee POC.  All donors are encouraged to be creative when creating baskets.  Baskets should range in value from $250 to $500.  The baskets are to be turned in, with a list of contents, to the POC by September 9th.

The Aberdeen NDIA is a proud sponsor of the Fisher House Basket Raffle. If you are interested in donating a basket or want more information on the raffle, please contact Earl Noble at earl.noble@softekintl.com, (410) 417-8722 or any member of the NDIA.

About Fisher House

Fisher House homes are located at military and VA medical centers around the world.

Fisher Houses have up to 21 suites, with private bedrooms and baths. Families share a common kitchen, laundry facilities, a warm dining room, and an inviting living room.

Since inception, the program has saved military and veterans’ families an estimated $500 million in out of pocket costs for lodging and transportation.

Fisher House Foundation also operates the Hero Miles program, using donated frequent flyer miles to bring family members to the bedside of injured service members as well as the Hotels for Heroes program using donated hotel points to allow family members to stay at hotels near medical centers without charge. The Foundation also manages a grant program that supports other military charities and scholarship funds for military children, spouses, and children of fallen and disabled veterans.
