ANNUAL NDIA APG Holiday Social

The Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) Chapter of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) is pleased to entertain board members and friends of the chapter at their annual Holiday Social. This event is a great opportunity for NDIA members from the APG and allied Chapters and WID to network with members of the Board for an informal social and dinner. The monthly board meeting will take place just prior to the social in an adjacent meeting area. Tickets are $20.00 and available at the door but must be reserved through RSVP. The APG Chapter of NDIA will be presenting the Annual David C. Robinson Memorial Scholarship Award to a deserving student from the Harford County School System. The winning student has competed by submitting an essay addressing how a STEM education could contribute to improving World Health Issues. All contestants intend to pursue STEM careers.

Sunday the 14th of August. Ironbirds played the Lowell Spinners FOR THE ANNUAL NDIA APG Leidos Field RIPKEN NIGHT OUT!


The Aberdeen Proving Ground Chapter of the National Defense Industrial Association had an excellent turnout thanks to the many directors that participated. The weather was notably hot, the beer was cold & the food was ballpark. Special thanks to Sue Myers for inviting 10 “Gold Star” Surviving Family Members. A formal announcement was made during the game announcing NDIA’s night at the Ballpark and the announcer added the following; “This evening the APG Chapter of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) is privileged to host several Surviving Family Members of our Fallen Soldiers. The NDIA and all of America honors these families for the sacrifices they have made to support our freedom.”

The NDIA APG Chapter in concert with Chesapeake Testing hosted a luncheon and facilities tour of Chesapeake Testing Services in Belcamp, MD. The luncheon and Keynote Presentation was provided by Mr. David Jimenez, Director of the Army Evaluation Center, U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md.

Chesapeake Testing, a spin-off of SURVICE Engineering Company, is a small business started 7-years ago by Jim and Nancy Foulk. The company has extensive experience in testing bullet-resistant personal protective equipment and vehicle armor for defense, aviation and automotive customers. Their industrial radiography and computed tomography (CT) lab houses a combined 225-450kV microfocus X-ray and CT system which allows inspection of large (up to 37-inches) dense materials such as metals, ceramics and composites. They offer their customers unmatched capabilities in nondestructive testing, 3D inspection and 3D reverse engineering. Diverse applications range from inspecting small precision machine components and turbine blades to large ceramic and composite structures. Also on-site are Environmental Conditioning and Mechanical Testing labs servicing defense and commercial customers.


APG CHAPTER BOARD MEETINGS

APG chapter board meetings are held the first Thursday of each month (unless otherwise noted) at RTR Technologies Offices "998 Hospitality Way Suite 203, Aberdeen, MD 21001", from September through May.

General membership luncheon or dinner meetings with government or contractor speakers and tours of facilities held periodically.
